I searched this forum and the WPM Admin guide and found no definitive answer to this question: when a Player PC reports a transaction monitor an "unknown" status what exactly does that mean? I've come up with a few possible explanations and I'm trying to distinguish between:
-The Player cannot reach the monitored site or doesn't see it as 'down'
-The Player cannot determine a monitored Step is at fault status
-The WPM module cannot communicate with the Player or vice versa
-The monitored site isn't responding and not generating warning or critical latency status
I'd like to give my app folks a solid answer, can someone explain? What does the alert status variable mean when it returns "unknown"?
